Mission

The AWCF was founded in 1986 and is a not-for-profit community based organisation that has deductible gift recipient status. Back when it was established, there were no dedicated cancer care and treatment provisions in Albury Wodonga. Over the years, the AWCF has strived for improved local cancer services, treatment options and played a major role in the enhancement of these services including lobbying Federal Government to commit to the establishment of the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre which is now a reality. The Albury Wodonga community now has one of the leading cancer services in Regional Australia.
